Stain the profile list and fill the pores of the rosewood
Alf donated the necessary 5 cc black, water-based stain for the top profiles. Gave them four times, but they will need more.

Rosewood has very well defined and deep pores scattered over the surface. They need to be filled with something, before lacquering. Black colour powder, mixed with a suitable amount of glue – it looks horrible! I hope I can get it off again.

Definitely an outdoor job
- the stuff is very hard, and I’ve probably used too much. A broad-bladed scalpel can scrape off most, then sanding. Yeah, yeah - I will have to stain the sides of the profiles again…

Staining the top profiles

Deep pores

Oh, no!

Scrape, scrape

OK - stain it again
