A slope needs to added the inside of the slot, at the tip and to the long sides, as described on page 14.
It was done by hand, using grinded-down files, light source and blue spirit markings:

Yes - it was interesting, especially under time pressure! But after a few I got the hang of it, but the process can clearly be refined - with more magnification (more than my OPTIVisor) and more and finer files.
